"I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light." ~ Jeremiah 4:23
What happened to this once "rising star"? He broke into the personal injury arena suddenly with his employment by The Simon Law Firm P.C. in St. Louis. A high profile firm located on the seventeen floor of the Bank of America building at 800 market St.
At Friedmans disposal was the stature of the firm, the infrastructure, the colleagues, the supporting staff and the financial resources to take the most complex litigation to, through, and beyond trial to appeal. It was all his. Until....
Anthony R. Friedman left the Simon Law Firm P.C. on June 30, 2023 and I lost track of him as he entered into the void of juris obscurity. Adrift like a schooner without a sail or rudder.
I was able to locate him through an inconsequential social media presentation and as I resumed my observation of his legal and business conduct I became stymied as to the visage of the man that Super Lawyers some six year prior affixed the accolade in their assessment as a "rising star". That assessment was made of him during his tenure at The Simon Law Firm. No status update forthcoming. A legal legacy that is no longer credible nor sustainable.
Ladies and gentlemen you must see the evidence.
One tactical as strategic error after another since Friedman has gone into his solo practice. From working illegally out of his home, to advertising a p.o. box at a UPS Store in St. Peters as the location of his law firm.
HIs first case as a solo practitioner he took to trial was to litigate in the 11th judicial district of St. Charles County over a replacement title for a used Vespa Motor Scooter. He got the verdict.
I am not privy to Friedmans now, client base and case values but from what I have observed Friedman has been reduced to litigation for the crumbs that fall from tables of more competent attorneys.
The choice of an attorney is a serious matter and should not be made solely by advertisements.
